Problems
If life throws problems at us, here is so simple an approach to deal with them. Posting it here, so that I would remember to just look up to this page in times of troubles.
Lessons learned
Lessons from the meeting:
1. If the project you had done has a very limited scope, say that up-front. Don't resort to circumlocution and making things up to wrap them in an attractive cover.
2. You can't just say that "I'm interested in an area A", with NO prior work done in that area.
3. Decide what are your research interests. Really. What you have right now is, "I'm interested in X, Y, btw Z, and also W. Oh, and I forgot to mention V.

Yesterday's revelation
How will you describe Broccoli as a close relative of the other vegetable "cauli-flower"?
Well, Broccoli can well be described as the "Green flower"! There is a striking similarity between the two: the flowery part at the top of the stem look the same in both the vegetables, except that one is off-white, where as the other is green.
