A powerfully motivating quote by Charles Swindoll:
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

Feeling insignificant?
Came across this comic strip. I think this is the crux of our journey. Trying to prove to the world, and to ourselves, that we are significant, noticeable being in this vast space.
Is it one of the reasons that people want kids.. so that after they die, their legacy remains.. a proof that they existed.
We want recognition. We want fame. We want to be acknowledged by the world that we exist. Wait a minute. Did I say "exist"! For most of the people, only the notion that they exist is not enough. We want to be noticed by the world. And the way to do this, is doing something noticeable.
Did you try doing google search on your own name? Well, I did! Just to check my existence on the internet world.
So this feeling that my existence is important is crucial to me. After all, that is why I am living. Living a significant life.
